Pack up drawers, cupboards, shower supplies, shelves and mirrors (if not built in), bath toys, you name it. Keep the essentials handy, and store everything else away from the project area.

• Set up an alternative bathroom space: Given that the bathroom is such a functional piece of the house, it’ll be important for your routines and happiness that you set up an alternative bathroom space from the construction site. This one is easy if you have additional bathrooms in your home. If you have only the one bathroom, some good alternatives are to ask neighbors/friends/family to share, leverage the locker rooms at the gym, or plan a mini-vacation and enjoy a few days away during the home remodel project.
